Writing product reviews to make money online is quickly growing in popularity. If you get benefit from the products you’re using in day-to-day life, you can jump on the bandwagon, too.
The first thing you need to do is sign up with an affiliate partner, such as Amazon.com or Ebay (harder to join now) or Commission Juction (www.cj.com) to gain access to millions of products. Once you receive your affiliate ID, you’re ready to begin the process for promoting products that you use and love. When it comes to promoting your reviews and blog posts, one of the best methods you can use is organic search engine traffic.
Search engines provide a constant stream of traffic that comes month after month as long as you are ranked #1. Optimizing your pages for the search engines means that you must write around keywords that are deemed to have decent traffic levels.

If you are starting a large site around multiple products or keywords, you can set your minimum search cutoff point to around 500 visitors. This should bring in around 10 visitors per day when you’re ranking #1 in the organic listings.
However, if you’re promoting a single product with a site, you will want to set your cutoff point much higher. An estimate would be around 3,000 visitors per month. You could estimate that 50-60 of these visitors will land on your site daily. This is a sufficient amount of traffic to generate a few sales per day, and pay you for what your time was worth – every month, again and again. In order to generate sales once you have finished the initial keyword research, you’re going to need to learn how to write sales copy. Not the 10 page long sales pages, that come in a rainbow of colors. To generate sales, and build trust with your reviews, you need to keep four words in mind. Attention. Interest. Desire. Action.
Remember, that when you’re writing, you want to bring their attention in, and build trust with your words. Try not to over-hype the product, but keep their interest. Pictures and lists of the product’s features are great ways to keep a visitors interest. As you near the end, you want to slowly build desire for the product, to help show them why they need it in their lives. Once you’ve wrapped up your review, it’s time to tell them what to do.
People like an easy path to the solution to their problems, and if you want to start making money online, you need to learn that - so, adding a strong call to action after your review will generate substantially more sales than if you had simply finished the review and moved onto the next. This is key: the call to action and an obvious link to the product.

I have been writing some Hubs on reviewing skin care. One of them I got really right and the traffic is (for me thru the roof) I am not quite sure why or how I got it so right as there are a few others that seem to be doing ok but not as well as the first one. I will keep on keeping on though till I get it right for I love doing them. .and they say if you love doing something........ the $ will come.
This is good advice, Mark.Until recently, I've added Amazon capsules to hubs, hoping for the odd click; but I haven't optimized specifically for Amazon, yet. Steady Amazon sales probably pay more than Adesense, too, so there's really no excuse for not doing it.

I like to read reviews first before I buy a tech product like a camera or laptop or cam-corder so I know reviewing makes good sense and now with so many affilaite opportunities you can test the product, love using it yourself, write a great review and earn commissions - beaut! The most powerful method I know of compelling the reader of your review to buy is to include a short video of you actually using the product, showing how it benefits you and what features may be interest the viewer, what solutions it provides you. This is compelling social proof marketing and creates excitement about the product!
