The Perks Of Working From Home
59Home Based Jobs :: Some Benefits Of Work From Home Jobs
Working from home is becoming a dream for more and more people wanting to escape the daily office grind, or those who find themselves part of a "down-sizing" operation by a company looking to save a few dollars. To help give you a boost in motivation, you should consider some of the perks you’ll receive when you are finally able to leave your 9-5 behind and begin working from home, even if it is not by choice.
Whether you are telecommuting or starting up your own company, the benefits of working from home greatly outweigh sitting in a cubicle 9 hours a day. Having a flexible lifestyle is one of the biggest perks you’ll get when you leave your day job.
You are still going to be required to complete tasks on a day to day basis, but whether they happen in the morning, during the afternoon, after dinner, or even burning the midnight oil is entirely up to you. You will have to keep track of the hours that you work though, if you are a telecommuter.
The company you work for is going to want to see that you are putting in the same hours regardless what time of the day it happens. With this being said, you still want to ensure you are available during hours when your company is operating to avoid being left behind on important details and decisions.
Spending more time with your family is another huge benefit you get when you finally start working from home. One of life’s most important aspects is a possibility when you get motivated to leave the cubicle behind and accept that there are lots of work from home jobs around if you are a little inventive.
Being able to go wherever you want, whenever you want, having a flexible lifestyle, you and your family will enjoy creating more memories together, rather than you being swamped from work when you get home. Your kids and spouse will love the fact that you are able to earn from the comfort of your living room rather than dealing with the daily grind, traffic, and other stress.
You will also save yourself substantial amounts of money when you begin working from the house. Add up the amount of money you spend on a daily and weekly basis for items such as gas, food, water, coffee, and other requirements for your work week.
These costs can be greatly reduced when you are working from home because you are going to complete your shopping list at one time rather than having to visit the local deli or diner every day. The fuel savings alone are significant enough to make it a wise decision to find a way to work from home. You could consider working from home as giving yourself the pay raise your boss couldn't afford!
Having said all that - there are a few drawbacks, and being on-call all day long may not suit some people. I have been working from home for years now and the ready availability of snacks is my downfall.

Mark - Nothing compares to being able to work at home in your pajamas or tee shirt and jeans if you're more formal, unless it's the joy of being you own boss. Thanks for the reminder.
I am working towards earning a decent living by working from home. Apart from doing the thing I love most, writing the other advantage to me is NOT having to put up with bosses who are disrespective of their employees and receiving lousy wages.
Oh another disadvantage is friends and family assuming you are available to them 24/7 because you are not in paid employment. But I am working on that and educating them on my new job, working from home. Lol.
ive been looking at working from hom so hubs like this are a useful source of information, so thanks for the tips.
This is my life long dream. I was recently laid off a product of "downsizing", which was really a Godsend. I hadn't had a vacation in 10 years, because of working for a micro managing knuckle dragger.
The biggest problem I've run into, searching for employment, are the scams. It's a shame there are so many dishonest venues. Shared, bookmarked and rated up!!
