Buying A Tanglewood Guitar

The Tanglewood Guitar Company began in England in 1991 and has become one of the most well known brands of guitar sold in Ireland, United Kingdom and just recently in the Americas. Instruments manufactured by Tanglewood are a result of a blend of traditional designs and modern manufacturing technologies with only the finest woods available.

Upon completion of the manufacturing process, each guitar is hand tested in order to guarantee consistent playability from the first chord to the millionth played. With a wide variety of guitar lines to choose from there is a guitar to meet the needs of most any type of musician, from a beginner to a well-seasoned professional.

The Tanglewood product line consists of many different acoustic and electric guitars. There is a guitar line designed for the left-handed player. Banjos, Mandolins, and Ukuleles are also among the products designed and manufactured by Tanglewood.

The Tanglewood acoustic & electros guitar line is designed and manufactured by Michael Sanden and renowned master designer. These guitars are built in Michael’s workshop located in Southern Sweden and each instrument built has his handcrafted style and functionality. Michael builds six models for Tanglewood; three are made from Mahogany and three models made from Rosewood.

Each model is made from a blueprint and has a distinct feature from Michael Sanden. Ebony bridges and fingerboards, walnut or maple bindings are just a couple of the features found in the Tanglewood Heritage Series guitars. These guitars are made from only some of the finest tone woods available in order to create a high-end instrument that has come to be expected of the Tanglewood name. Unique and diverse is the best description of the Sundance Series of Tanglewood Guitars. Strung with Elixir strings, solid backs and sides this series of guitar is at home whether on stage or in a recording studio. This series includes Super Folk and Dreadnoughts just to name a few. The new Rosewood Reserve Series features guitars with Spruce tops and Indian Rosewood backs and sides. The higher end series of Tanglewood guitars are designed and manufactured with gold tuners, bone nuts and saddles.

To ensure the long life of your Tanglewood guitar it is important to store the guitar in its case in temperature and humidity controlled environment. If unsure of the environment your guitar is stored in, you can purchase a sound-hole humidifier, which is highly recommended for quality guitar storage. With proper care and storage your Tanglewood Guitar will make music for many years to come.

Hi, Mark - Your hub epitomizes one of the things I like most about Hubpages. The reader can find an amazing amount of information about subjects he or she knew little or nothing about. Thanks for this Tanglewood hub.

I own a Tanglewood TW15WN(wide neck). Never played one before it came into a local music store. It is amazing!! 1.8in neck width at the nut is one of the most playable I ever had.
