iPhone Covers : Which is the Best iPhone Case?

Every one loves their iPhone it seems and – with good reason. It is not often an electronic gadget takes off so successfully as the Apple iPhone, and even the latest models are actually an improvement on the older versions which also makes a change. Apple got it right. Except for one thing. The iphone has a bloody great piece of glass on the front which is easily broken or scratched. I used to think only diamond could scratch glass – not sure where I got that idea from, but it certainly is not the case (sic) with the iphone – which is in dire need of a case or cover to protect it.

And this is big business judging from the amount of advertisements littering the internet for iphone covers. Most of them seem purely decorative rather than functional and you can get anything from Swarovzki crystal to real diamonds to cover your iphone with if you choose.

The most expensive iPhone cover is the GnG iphone case, which weighs 140 grams is made from 18 k gold, encrusted with 400 diamonds and costs over $116,000. And the most popular is the iFrogz Luxe case. Unsurprising really – as Amazon sell the things for less than ten bucks and the do a fantastic job of protecting the phone. You can spend the money saved on not buying the GnG to buy a new car or house or something instead.

There really are thousand and thousands of iPhone cases and how to pick the best one is difficult at best. As far as I am concerned – ten bucks sounds about the right amount of money to spend on a case for your phone. Yes – I hate to burst your bubble - it is a friggin’ phone – not as the marketing scum would have to believe – a “life style accessory” or “fashion statement.”

It makes me laugh when I read the marketing garbage for much of this stuff and I guess the entertaining thing for me with the iPhone is the fact that it’s success is not down to clever marketing garbage – it is down to the fact that it works and does what it says it is going to do. If everything else worked as well as this we would be in a whole different place.

There is absolutely no shortage of iphone covers available, but choosing from the best iphone cases for you may take a little time. Unless you realize it is a phone – in which case – you will buy the cheap one that works. The IFrogz luxe case.
