Start A Business To Make Money From Home
After several years of making a living working from home, one thing I have learned is that there really is more than one way to skin a cat, and there are some inventive ways of earning money with a home based business that do not require a large investment of capital.
Coming up with home based business ideas can be the hardest part of the process. You know that there is money to be made while you work from home, but what niche do you fill? Finding your corner of the market is going to be the easiest way to build a solid home based business, so here are a few ideas to get you going, although I suggest you take them as a basis and see what you might find that suits you. Look through each and determine if you may be right for the position.
Personal Trainer – Fitness and busy lifestyles go together. One aspect of working out and staying fit that many people have problems with is getting time in the gym. Personal trainers help do away with the need for a gym requirement by meeting clients at their home. In-home training is a rapidly growing industry, so if you are able to teach people and have a knack for staying in shape, you may want to consider getting your personal trainers license and marketing yourself through fitness centers and networking.
Home Inspection – As the real estate market begins its upturn, more and more home inspections are going to be required. This is one industry where you do not have to own a building to operate, because you will be called out to houses around your area.
After three to six months training you will understand what problems can arise on a property and know what to look for in houses that are on the market. Depending on the area you live in and current market demand, home inspectors can earn large amounts of money while running their business from home.
Catering / Personal Chef – Party catering, as well as personal chefs are also in demand. Food is the centerpiece of parties around the world, and busy people simply do not have the time to prepare healthy meals for themselves. If you are able to cook healthy meals, or prepare meals on a larger scale, starting your own catering business or marketing yourself as a personal chef can be your break into the business world.
Child Care Services – A quality daycare provider often has a line waiting for spots to open. Working from home you may have a limit to the number of children you can watch at one time, but starting your own daycare service is a great way to bring in extra income and help teach children morals, values, and a foundation for their education.
When people find out that their children want to continue going to your house for care the world will spread like wildfire, giving you a line of people waiting for you to watch their kids as well.
As I say - take these as starting point and perhaps you will find something that is right for your home based business.

Its good to see you trying out different formats in your hub. Your hub is really helpful. Please make it more informative...like links etc.
Thank you for a very helpful hub.
Very good Hub...hope you have a follow up where you list more...what seemed to be the best home business for you?
Mark - The title of that first book shown, "Personal Trainer for Dummies," caught my eye. Think I'll start billing myself as an executive consultant for dummies. On second thought - not a good idea.
You mention child care services - there are never enough caring, responsible providers available. Great idea for a home based business.
I assume you go to Gold's Gym Mark :)
Like the idea of Home Inspection business...
Another great hub... Thanks for sharing
Hhhmmm, I know a couple of people that I will be forwarding this one on to. I particularly like the home inspection idea.
Thank you.
Nice hub Mark...thank you.
I'm intrigued but don't quite understand the need for a personal chef....if I have a home-based business like freelance writing, I certainly can't afford a personal chef, as much as I'd like to have one. Ditto on the personal trainer. Also, there are enough networking events out there that you can kind of "borrow" the cooking expertise of someone else while hobnobbing with other professionals.
