Duesenberg, German high-end guitars, consolidate features, sounds and construction that have helped shape the history of music. The main design of these guitars consists of a deco style headstock, pick guard and metal components that make up its own original look and style.
The body was designed after the old jazz guitars that were built and produced in the 40s in the United States and Europe. Elements from the design of the traditional jazz guitar, electric guitar construction of the 50s, and a copy of the Gibson fingerboard radius along with the vintage tailpieces and bridges, make up the Duesenberg style of guitar.
These guitars are known for being lightweight, easy to control and a popular stage and studio guitar. All models, hardware, and other parts of the Duesenberg guitars are designed and built in their factory in Hannover. These guitars are built with models that have 12 and 6 strings. In addition to the design and manufacture of guitars, this company has also designed replacement bridges and vibrato units.
There are several different models, each with their own unique style and features, manufactured at the Hannover plant. Some of these models include Starplayer Bass, Violin Bass, and D-Bass.
The Starplayer Bass has the classic look of the traditional Duesenberg, an arched top with an arched flamed maple back. It has a semi hollow body with a vintage cutaway look. The specially designed duel humbuckers are placed in such a way they create a depth and overtones that will move you soul.
Some of the musicians who play the Starplayer Bass Guitar are Ken Taylor, Robert Palmer and Wizzard. The Violin Bass guitar is the highest quality guitar that has the classic look of guitars built in the 60s by other guitar companies. It has a large neck width and the hardware and electrics that meet the high demands of today’s musician.
This beautiful instrument comes in a two-tone sunburst color and black. The D-Bass guitar is the first in its class to be a long scale bass guitar. It has an elegant contoured body that allows easy playing up to high notes with a smooth transition between the new and body as a result of a hidden neck joint.
Another unique feature to this guitar is the mid-shape control that allows a smooth transition from j- to p- bass character. These are only a few of the wonderfully innovative models of guitars designed and manufactured by Deusenberg Guitars of Hannover, Germany.

Oh Man, that black DTV-Outlaw looks awsome! I would love to check out the action on that babey!
Maybe when my account kicks in I can get one lol. Thanks for bringing these great instruments to Hubpages.
Hey Mark, how do these compare to a Rickenbocker? They look similar to a Rick I have, and I'm in love with it.
Comparable, but I would say - a more "old fashioned" tone if that makes any sense?
Hello, hello, 2 years ago
